After the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, former United States Senator Paul Simon said, "If every member of the House and Senate had received 100 letters from people back home saying we have to do something about Rwanda, then I think the response would have been different."
The situation today is no different. Canada's politicians will only push for action on Darfur if they think their constituents want them to push for action on Darfur. Write your MP, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Bernier, or Prime Minister Stephen Harper: in five minutes or less, you will make a difference.
